Phal amabilis blooms in the summer with 5 or more ( as many as 20 - 30 is possible) lightly fragrant white flowers. The clean white flowers are held on branching spikes.

Phal bastianii blooms with small glossy yellow flowers marked with reddish-brown barring and a brilliant contrasting rose-fusia lip. When mature, they can bloom continuous for many months.

Phal. Bellina blooms with 2-3” green flowers with purple markings on the lower sepals. They are extremely fragrant and can bloom for several months and will re-bloom from the spike.

Phalaenopsis gigantea is native to Borneo and is named for its gigantic leaves that can easily exceed 24". The full, round flowers have a cream background and have raised red-brown spots or blotches you can feel with your fingers. Specimen-size plants are capable of producing hundreds of flowers on pendent, branching inflorescences

Phalaenopsis schilleriana is a showy flowering species with masses of pink flowers. The flowers have a delicate rose-petal fragrance and are two to three inches across. The branching inflorescence may grow several feet in length. Mature plants may produce two or more inflorescences in the same season. The leaves are a striking feature of this plant, dark green overlaid with silvery-gray irregular marbling, usually seen as transverse bands on the upper surfaces, while the undersides of the leaves are a purple-red. The combination of the attractive foliage, flowers, and fragrance make this species a favorite of many growers.

The inflorescences Phalaenopsis stuartiana of are also heavily branching and many flowered. The faintly fragrant flowers are 1" to 2" inches across, white with fine to heavy cinnamon-red spotting on the basal halves of the lower sepals and on the lip. It is a medium sized plant with mottled green leaves and blooms in the spring.

Phalaenopsis equestris is found throughout the Philippines and Taiwan. It flowers throughout the year with many miniature lavender flowers with branching habit on a compact plant. Its petals are white to pink and often flushed; its lip may be rose, purple, pink or orange with a yellow or white callus. when the spike has finished flowering, do not cut it off the plant as kiekies quite often develop on the ends of the spikes.
