Ang. sesquipedale is a warm-growing species from Madagascar. It blooms around Christmas time and is commonly called the Christmas Orchid and Christmas Star Orchid. The large long-lasting flowers have a long nectary and at night are delightfully fragrant. Ang. sesquipedale grow large but the flowers make it a worthwhile addition to every collection.
